M.A. in Educational PsychologyConcentration in Measurement & Accountability The Program in Research Methodology is pleased to announce the availability of training in measurement and data analysis methods employed in K-12 educational accountability for purposes of education decision-making and school improvement. Courses in measurement, evaluation, survey research, and statistics support the general methodology training of students in this area. The capstone course is EPsy 5222 Measurement & Accountability, which stresses the uses of data for school improvement. Students also spend one semester in an internship in which they apply their training in measurement & accountability by participating in several aspects of an accountability study, including instrument development, sampling, data analysis, evaluation, and writing or co-writing technical reports. The training is especially designed for teachers, administrators, policy makers, researchers, and research and evaluation staff working in various educational settings. The M.A. degree is offered through the Department of Educational
Psychology and is supported by the Program in Research Methodology.
